Monica graduated in Padua Italy in 1998 and moved to the UK in 1999.She has worked in several sectors of the veterinary profession including small animal practice.
One of Her main interests as a vet has always been improving quality of life for all animals. This led her to attend an acupuncture course in 2002. Since then she has been practicing acupuncture on dogs, cats, horses and even rabbits and farm animals. More recently she has trained in photo-biomodulation(which includes LASER therapy) which among other uses is especially effective at promoting the healing of damaged tissues.
Lizzie has been surrounded by dogs and animals all Her life. She has enjoyed decades working with cattle and sheep, owning lots of dogs and training Her sheepdogs, and from 1984 ultrasound pregnancy scanning farm livestock then exclusively scanning dogs.
As far back as She can remember, She has been interested in how holistic understanding and complimentary therapies can work alongside veterinary science and medicine.
Her motivation to "make it better" extends to humans too, and for over 30 years, She has studied, learned and practiced a range of therapeutic techniques, from eclectic sources, with qualifications including ITEC, and Level 5 Sports and Remedial Massage (LSSM Dip).
When Her wonderful sheepdog Buzz was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis, She put all her experiences and learning into making his life as pain free, and the best quality, as possible. She specifically trained with the Institute of Complimentary Animal Therapies (ICAT), Canine Massage Diploma and passed with Distinction in 2008.
She have been privileged to work with Her hands on all types of dogs, from Met Police and Border Force professionals, pets, breed show, competitive sports, working, anxious, elderly, arthritic, to post orthopedic surgery patients. To support the best outcome for Her clients She follows up with advice on maintenance, fitness, and exercises.
Charlene grew up with a variety of animals from gerbils to goats and her passion for animals is something that she has definitely grown into rather than out of.
After nearly 13 years working for the NHS she switched from human patients and emergency care to canine patients and rehabilitation. Her previous medical training has assisted with her learning and understanding.
She qualified as a hydrotherapist in 2007 and has not stopped learning since. She has a lot of experience with rescue dogs and often finds the more nervous dogs most rewarding to treat as they start to trust and learn that She is there to help make them feel better.
Rebecca has been working as a hydrotherapist for over 9 years during which time she has gained valuable experience, especially while working as part of a multi disciplinary team at Greyfriars. Her work has involved caring for both inpatients and outpatients often with very complex mobility needs.
She is passionate about imparting her knowledge of hydrotherapy to clients, students and other therapists and has taught on several courses.
Rebeccas' particular interest is in osteoarthritis. Her previous dog Max has been a real driver in furthering her knowledge on arthritis management due to his multiple orthopaedic conditions. She finds the relationships with patients who need life long care and support and their guardians most rewarding.
